Two-Year Community/Junior Colleges
Community/Junior Colleges Are...
Community colleges, also known as 2-year or junior colleges, are regionally accredited post-secondary institutions at which students may earn an Associate's of Arts (AA) or an Associate's of Science (AS). This is the highest degree offered at these institutions. Bachelor's of Arts (BA) or Bachelor's of Science (BS) can be earned at four-year institutions.

- Have admission policies that are open to those with high school diplomas or its equivalent
- Have tution and fees that are approximately half of those at a four-year institution

Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC)
PPCC has close to 50 years of excellence in education, having awarded over 33,600 degrees and certificates since 1968. Pikes Peak Community College opened as El Paso Community College in 1968. PPCC is a two-year college offering Associate's degrees and various certifications in Career and Technical fields.
