Attention Seniors! UCCS has announced that its online Scholarship Application for the 2012-2013 school year will be available starting Thursday, December 1, 2011. This year, UCCS is allowing students who have applied for admission for the Fall 2012 semester but have not yet been accepted to submit a scholarship application. Most scholarships have a deadline of Thursday, March 1, 2012; however, be sure to pay attention to the specific deadlines of each scholarship you wish to apply for. Below are two of the more popular and prestigious UCCS scholarships that you may be eligible for:

 

Kane Family Foundation – Kane Scholars (DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2012) Kane Family Foundation awards high achieving Colorado residents the full-cost of tuition, fees, and books for up to four years. Qualifying students must have a 3.5 HS GPA, be in the top 10 percent of their graduating class, and show consistent, long term, extracurricular involvement.  Recipients are expected to be campus leaders and top students.  Kane Scholars Awards are also made at southern Colorado community colleges and are transferable to UCCS.  Application available through the UCCS 2012-2013 Scholarship Application

 

 

 

Chancellor’s Leadership Class (DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2012) CLC is a highly selective undergraduate honors program designed to develop effective leaders. Through coursework, community service, skill building, and mentoring, students have the opportunity to enhance their leadership abilities. CLC Scholars receive an annual scholarship of $4,000. CSEC shares a campus with CTU and partners with CSEC to offer CTU college courses to CSEC students as part of  CSEC's normal school day.

          

  CSEC is authorized by Charter School Institute, a state-wide organization that acts somewhat like a school district.

            

Colorado League of Charter Schools supports CSEC with training and other services.		             

Many CSEC students attend off-campus classes at Pikes Peak Community Collegeand at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs
